The trick: The cake is made from batter, which is generally very easy to mix. The berries are simply sprinkled into the batter – that’s all. So not many work steps are necessary. Recipe for sheet cake with berries: You need it for the recipe

You need: 250 g soft butter, 220 g sugar, 4 eggs, 250 g flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, a pinch of salt, two types of berries weighing 300 g each (e.g. blueberries and raspberries), 100 g white chocolate, icing sugar for dust off

How it works: Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Then add the softened butter to a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar and beat until fluffy and white.

Gradually stir in the eggs. Then mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl and gradually stir this dry mixture into the butter mixture.

Grease a baking sheet with a little butter and place the dough on the baking sheet. Spread well and evenly. Wash the berries (this is best done in a colander) and drain well.

Then spread on the dough. Finally, grind or grate the white chocolate and pour it over the dough as well. Bake the cake in the oven for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool, cut into slices and sprinkle with icing sugar. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla sauce. Enjoy your meal!
